Hey, I’m Tawny!

I'm a free-spirited, kind of hippie, other-culture-loving, Vespa-obsessed mid-twenties girl with a passion for ending global poverty, abolishing sex trafficking, and keeping mamas with their babies. My husband and I strive to advocate for & pursue a slower, more ethical lifestyle, so I created this blog as a place for others who are passionate about world change to connect with Fair Trade artisan women (and men) around the world & help them support their families.

I'm feeling so humbled and grateful as I send out postcards to all the wonderful women who shopped with me this holiday season. I love sending personal notes to all of my new & returning customers as a small token of my true gratitude for every single purchase. & sending/receiving snail mail is just so fun to me! 💌🥰 Anyone else?

I know that you can shop for cheaper. But you CHOOSE to pay a little more so that women are paid fairly & in safe working conditions. So mamas can keep and feed their babies. So girls can be rescued out of trafficking situations. So women can heal from trauma.

I've heard the thank yous while face to face with my artisan partners... In the DR, Guatemala, Haiti, Nashville, & Baltimore. And lots more countries over Zoom. 🥰 And I know it's not the same, but I hope I'm able to bridge the gap even a little bit between our artisans and customers. 🫶
